Patch Star s5230

Here is a tutorial how to patch your phone for these who dont know.
First we must know, you have patches for S5230MXEIL2 and S5230XEII4 and now there is for S5230XPJB1( that means that if you have other firmware patch will not work!) and there is three types of patch for now:


   1. Patch only for menu - (menu.swf)
   2. Patch for menu and homescreen - (menu.swf and gadget.swf)
   3. Patch for menu, homescreen and Files(submenu) - (menu.swf gadget.swf and myfiles.swf).  Patch contains two files apps_patch.bin and .rc2 file

- First, we connect the S5230 to the PC in "Media Player" mode.
We go in "My Computer" then in S5230 and in the folder PHONE (not CARD) created your folder Res and there paste your gadget.swf and menu.swf

2) Then we prepare the S5230 for a flash process
The phone now must be in "PC Studio" mode connected!
When you conncet phone, you start the Multi loader (pictured Multi Loader Version 5.62)
Check Port Search 2-3x, view the phone it must be now DOWNLOAD on screen.
(or if you want you can turn off your phone and press volume, camera and power button to get in download mod)
First you need to select in multiloader LSI6410 (this is important!!!)
When you selected LSI6410 go on apps in Multiloader and browse apps_patch.bin file and open it and then on RC2 borwse it and open rc2 file(like in picture). (Before pressing DOWNLOAD chek is it on LSI6410, because Multiloader somtimes when you press port search automatic set on BRCM2133, and in front of apps and rc2 must be cheked). If is all ok press DOWNLOAD

 Phone will restart and you will have yor mod! Now you dont need to flash your phone every time when you want new mod, only in res folder paste gadget.swf and menu.swf
If you get white screen than you did something wrong with Res folder, or didnt paste swf files in res folder

And if you want to start your phone normaly (without mod/patch) hold the center key during the boot process, ("back") key. Then it will not read the data from the folder Res, but it will read the RC1 which you had installed before the patch.
